I have a Ruger M77 MarkII 7mmRM. It is the older one that I bought new about 15yrs ago. 3 position safety. I want to put a lighter trigger pull on it. Any suggestions?

I replaced my Ruger M77 MKII in .338 WM with Spec-tech standard triggers. It's very easy to install and adjust ... and for the price it's hard to beat. Currently set @ 2.5 lbs and very happy thus far!

The paddle is next :D.

Thats what I am looking for...Thanks

Nice looking rifle, what else do you have done to it?

The Ruger trigger is not difficult if you decide to work on it instaed of replacing.
Ruger Model 77 Trigger Adjustments

I have done several using these instructions and am happy with the results.

Thanks for the info. I would like to give this a try but have no clue how to work on it. I am better with detailed directions and pictures. I have been hunting for years but never done any kind of gunsmithing. After joining this site, makes me want to get more into it though.

If you are not comfortable with it the task is best left up to a gunsmith.
Since it is not difficult a good gunsmith should not charge much

I installed a Rifle Basix to my 338 Win Mag MKII and adjust it to 14 oz to try my loads on the bench. Very simple installation. Brake like glass no creep. During hunting season it get adjust to 1lbs 8oz thats how I like it. Personal choice. Also they are not to expensive. Good luck on your decision.

Thanks for another option. I will look into that one. Do you know if it is made out of stainless steel?

Walker1,

So far it's the trigger, Burris mount and rings, and of course the scope. Below are range results with Hornady 250g SSTs. Just started reloading but haven't really had the chance to do any load development.

Good Luck!

Ed

(P.S. Sorry for the double post above)
