I have a new Kimber Montana .300 WM. I would like to do some long range hunting with. Which bullets are you guys using and having success with for long range hunting? 100 yards - 900/1000 yards is my goal. Any Suggestions?
Thanks Nick-

I had very good luck with 190g Bergers. The deer and elk I shot hated them.:D

I use the 210 Berger.

I am beyond pleased with the accuracy and terminal performance.

+1 on the 210 VLD.

I've not killed anything past about 350 yards with them, but I've shot some big tough stuff and all piled up in about 25-40 yards at most.

For those of you using the 210VLD's, are you guys pushing them through a 1-10 twist barrel? If so, has anybody used them past 600-700 yards? Even on paper? I have heard ALOT about this bullets performance on game out to those LONG ranges but will it be accurate out of a 1-10 twist barrel at those distances?
thanks

Yes, I have used the 210 VLD to 1000 yards in both a 300 Win and a 30-378 Wby. Both 1 in 10 twist barrels. On paper, rocks, steel, and game. They work great for me.gun)

I have had excellent results with the 200AB at all ranges (animals to near 700 yds). I would not hesitate to try the 210VLD if your gun is set up to load (ie magazine) and chamber it optimally.
