Hi

I just got my rifle back from the smith, busy at work so havent been in the field with it yet.
I got a muzzlebrake installed on it, but as far as I can see its slightly canted, maybe 0.010 - 0.020"

What effekts will that have?

Will it jerk shots?

It won't have any effect, other than looks.

Is it past straight? Or, can you just tighten it a bit more?

As already stated it doesnt effect anything. Mine is slightly off too. It goes just past "center" . Besides being irritating to look at it works great. From what I understand it is very difficult to get a threaded muzzle break perfectly centered.

If you need to correct rotation, you could use some dental floss between the brake and the barrel. Also aluminum foil carefully trimmed could be made into a shim.

Since the brake is epoxied on maybe the barrel can be tightened into the action just a bit if you decide it bothers you. Or if it needs to go the opposite direction it can be done without removing the brake....just take the correct around off the shoulder and adjust the headspace.
