Badlands BD-2 load data

300 RUM Nosler brass
27 inch 7 twist barrel
CCI 250
205 grain SBDII
3.019" BTO = 0.020" off the lands
Retumbo

89.0 = 3,223
89.5 = 3,212
90.0 = 3,230
90.5 = 3,241 flat primer
91.0 = 3,251 flat primer
91.5 = 3,261 flat primer
92.0 = 3,334 bolt lift, ejector
92.5 = nope

First shot was the high left then it migrated to the center and the last shot was the high right. I have loaded for several RUMs that run the Berger 230 at ~2,980 with 89.0 grains of Retumbo so that's where I started. I'll probably load 88.5 to 90.0 and shoot it at distance. I wish I could get them to shoot that good, I've been having better luck with the 195s in my gun.

Anybody shooting that 100gr in a 6mm Creedmoor?
I've seen 3265' from the 88gr HH on Hammer's bullet reviews and Hornady claims 3325' from their new Superformance 90gr CSX in a 24" barrel.
I'd love to hear how the SBDII does with that ultra high BC bullet in the Creedmoor.
I have a 6mm x 284 with a 6.5 twist barrel I will eventually get around to trying them but it's 106F here and I don't really want to go in the garage when it's that hot.

Edit; I have had to drill two 2 seating stems out with a 1/8" drill because the long aluminum tip was bottoming out. Had a few measurements that had me scratching mu head before I realized what was going on. View attachment 478555View attachment 478556View attachment 478557
I agree that a max load would be 90 gr maybe even 89.5 gr. Looks quite accurate with those powder charges.

What brand of barrel do you have? We have noticed that Krieger will shoot lead core well but all copper bullets regardless of brand shoot poorly. Same thing with Schneider. Bartlein, K&P, McGowen, Lilja, Benchmark, Douglas, Excalibur all do very well.
What type of rifling do they have ? Mine are 5R and fast twist

anyone here use a 7mm mag. saami chamber....
I,m using BD2 bullets and having problems... accuracy and speed.....
What is your barrels twist ? You should check it as I have seen quite a few that are not as fast as they are labelled, easy to do with a cleaning rod.
