Have decided to go with a custom action so I am selling this one.

Remington 700 - Long Action - Stainless Steel - Standard Bolt Face (30-06) - Includes mag box, bottom metal, trigger group and lug.

Condition: Good. The only flaw is that when the smith pulled the factory barrel ... a small piece of scope base screw had broken off in the front mount hole. So when the barrel was pulled the screw bunged up the barrel threads and the steel that came off the barrel treads filled up the first four (only) threads in the action. The first four threads will need re-cut. (Your smith will re-cut them all anyway.)

Let me see if I'm reading this right 475.00 for a action that has to have a smith rework the barrel threads.

So a guy just can't screw a barrel on it and go?????????

A smith will recut the action threads when they true an action.
Remingtons are not exactly known for being factory "perfect".

Well hope you don't have to. But if you do.....I'd be willin' to give you three bills, find a nice deep hole to throw that *** bolt into and have the action reworked into something that's worth a crap.
