Anybody draw for Utah?

I lucked out and drew for the Fishlake Unit last year with only IIRC 4points. It was the best hunt of my life. Would love to do it again. Maybe one day. If I knew how to post pics, I would. I even considered going up there this year during the hunt just to be there.

Good luck on a fun hunt. I have never hunted that far north. Is that considered the desert? I usually cow hunt around Tidwell. I shot my bull on the west side of Milgard Mtn.

I applied for the Fish Lake unit (#370)....no draw w/7 pts......
non res family no draw w/11 pts
Still will be there camping in September....

If I could get the time off of work, I will be camping there in September. I want to atleast chase elk with a video and listen to them bugle.

7500' to 9000' cedar, pine and quakies, lots of steams and ponds . elk heaven mostly on the north slope.
I am unfamilier with the area you are discribing. My dad used to deer hunt when I was younger off Last Chance. I think it is called Elk Camp. I know you can take that all the way to Sheep Valley now. The elk that I shot unofficially scored 378 gross. It is a 6x6. I wish I knew how to post pics to show it off. That was the biggest I saw or heard of being shot. Have you seen any over 400 in that area?

in the last 25 years i have seen a really big bull about every other year and i wasnt even looking, i always see 6 points but not always big. twice i have seen a 7 point, once the gov tag hunter was there. i have hunted on the sw desert for 5 years and have seen bigger bulls on fishlake. last year i saw a bull with the biggest front four points i have seen but i was trying to get my daughter in position to shoot a 6x2 that was broken for her spike tag so didnt get a good look at him overall.
