Yep, I missed twice on a ground hog at 647 yds! I was buy myself and couldn't see the impacts but they were close enough to make it run both times. After the second shot I looked at my windage and realized I dialed 4 moa instead of two for the half value on the shot. Oh well He'll be there tomorrow when I get home. He lives one hill over from my back yard, for now............

:D:D Lovin' it. If I had 50 bucks for every time I've done that I could afford some kind of a new toy.

Well he was out there again today, and I dialed correctly and killed him on the first shot at 710 yards!!!! To say that I am pumped is an understatement!!!!!!!:D:D I was able to get my sight picture back after breaking the shot and see the last bit of vapor trail going right into him!!

What did you shoot him with?

Thank you all! Now that I got that first long shot out of the way I'll do some video taping this spring and share it.

I shot it with a 270 win using 57gr of 4831SC and a 140gr nosler BT.

Have you done anything to your gun like bedding, true he action ect? Also what scope?
Thanks Zach

No major Mods to the gun. It's an older Sendero that has been bedded, re-crowned, lugs lapped, extractor changed, and trigger changed. I had all that done because it came from the factory in somewhat sad condition. I have a Leupold VX-II 6-18AO on it. If your going to spend $500 on a scope get one with side focus.

Thanks I hope to get a sendero and a good scope someday.(I'm stuck with the two centerpoints I got for now)

I don't have the experience these other guys have, but I think with enough practice using what you have, you can make it work.:)
