I have a redding comp neck sizer die I use in my 338 lapua, the question is loading with a 250 sierra matchking lapua brass the loaded case measures at the neck .364 so I ordered a .362 bushing but when I measured the neck after sizeing it measured .357 ? whats going on.thanks Dustin

Your calipers are bad, or Redding sent you an out-of-spec neck bushing. No other possibilities that I can think of.

Have you measured the inside of the bushing? I have never worked with a bushing die but i would think that would tell you something. Let us know what you find.

I don't know what is going on there but I can tell ya I use redding bushing dies with my 338 lapua with Lapua brass and SMK's. When the brass is new a .367 bushing does the trick. After the brass was fired 5 times and was in need of annealing I had to drop to a .365 to get good neck tension till I get an annealing machine. I too think your calipers are wrong or as stated check the ID of the bushing.

I have checked with my two bushings I have a 368, and 362 also I have a rcbs full length sizer to use when i neck size about five times . the 368 when used takes it to 364 and the 362 takes it to 357 and the rcbs 362 so maybe it is my caliper, does anyone use a rcbs full length sizer on their lapua ? if so do you get .362 ? thanks Dustin
