Re: WTS ** Federal Large Rifle Primers 210 **
The facts are:
1. Most of us that are reloading are desperate and vulnerable as primers are becoming extinct
2. You were Price Gouged
3. You are price gouging on this site
Those are the only facts that I need to know.
As stated most of us reloaders are desperate for components (especially primers), and because of such, someone will bite on your offer, but that certainly doesn't make it right!
TW,
--If you are vulnerable, you put yourself in that position due to poor planning and lack of foresight. Heck, looking at the tea leaves during the election process and remembering what happened when Clinton got elected should have shed some light on the future of ammo and components..... This is the second time it has been around in 20 years with little to no inventory. That is exactly why just prior to the election, I ordered and received 70,000 primers. I planned ahead and now I have enough for a few years. I even have some on backorder to increase my inventory..... I just do not want to have all the shooting sticks that I have accumulated without having the compoents with which to enjoy them. More than occassional shooters and competitors tend to keep an inventory supply of bullets, brass, powder and primers on hand. They usually never let the inventory fall below enough for a a years worth of shooting.
--Back in the 1990s us benchrest shooters saw the exact same thing with the good PPC brass. When you got a gun built it usually came with 40 pieces of brass and a warning from the smith to "treat them like gold".
--He may have been charged more than normal, but for business, it is strickly supply and demand. Especially if they are closing. If the the supply sells then the price was acceptable and if it sits on the shelf, price adjustments usually clear the shelves......
--He is not gouging anyone. He is just offering them while covering expenses. Hard to gouge someone when you are making zero profit. I would hardly expect him to sell them for less than he paid just to get rid of them during this drought of primers..... That just would not make any sense at all.
If you think the gouging is going on now, just wait until the prices increase from the manufacturer later this year...... That is why most dealers are not taking backorders at this time..... The big eye opener is just around the corner.
Get the components while you can.
