300 Varminter

'wildcat' did. wildcat hasn't posted here since 5/24/08, and you may not have any luck drawing him back into this discussion. His Varminter was going to shoot ~14,200 fps - leastwise at a pretty good clip. It was a single-shot rifle. One-shot and then it was time to start another build. :D

I just read an article on 6mmbr and says that one was built on a rem 700 action, they just cant be pushed as hard?? So i dont see why a savage wouldnt work?

Remington action- 125 B/tip max out at 3850fps

Nesika or BAT- 125B/tips max at around the 3950fps

Using a Nesika or BAT action and reduce the loads to around 3850fps, the brass will last.

I still see a 125B/tip at 3850fps pretty bloody handy..
