Hello,

We shot H-1000 today for the first time and it was raining. I could not chronograph anything. If someone could run the numbers, I would appreciate it. Or even better, if someone has any data or data close to this it would help also.

300 Dakota
23.5" barrel
81 grains h1000
210 grain bullet

Thanks in advance

Hello Lorenzo,

Thanks for the response and the willingness to help.

AJ has been running the numbers for me. We got the data tweeked about as much as one can do it without the chronograph. The loaded case is very long and the latest data indicates that about 86 grains (+ or -) of H1000 with the HAT 210 grainer (much higher BC than Berger or Sierra) is the limit. We will minutely adjust seating depth to tune the loads.

The pistol is a beast and it really gets your attention. However, due to the Holland's brake, it recoils with full house loads between a model 41 S&W 22LR and a 38 special. The bystanders were amazed at the minimal recoil.

Once the bone heals up in the foot, I will be able to take all the equipment to the range. As for now, I am just limited to shooting groups off of a club bench.

I can't wait until I can start using my personal bench again. It is just too heavy to carry and assemble on one foot without messing up the bone again....

Thanks again.

ok James.. consider that the calculated speed is higher than about 100 fps of those measured with a cronographer. I do not know why but all the pressure and velocities are calculated always higher than real, I imagine for security reasons .
Good shooting
