My wife got me this for Christmas and I have spent the last two months getting it set up. I am working on some handloaded 180 gr. SSTs I have shot one .577" group so far but I am still working on consistancy.

Dude I had a brain fart sorry Love the gun. Why did you go with the SST? What are you going to hunt with it?

I have a Vanguard I am building up now. I had it trued a few weeks ago by Kevin at Mountour County rifles he had it back to me in less than a week and a half. He is going to do the rest of my work to when I get some spare cash.

I like the wood and you took some great pics to. Welcome

I chose the SSTs because I have always been a Hornady fan, I wanted something that would expand fast (tipped), they are rated at 3200fps where the Nosler BTs are only 3000, and at half the price I can shoot twice as much. I am just hunting Alabama deer right now so the SSTs should work good. Yeah, I got a 300 wby to shoot a 90# doe with. One day though I hope to go for elk and wanted to have something bigger than my 270. When I do go for the elk I will up to a Accubond or Interbond most likely.
