Film Dipping rifles

I never see any rifle film dipped in a camo pattern such as realtree or mossy oak. Their are many companies that will do an entire rifle for under $200. I had a shotgun dipped a few years ago, and I love how it turned out. Looks excellent and durablity is great. I'm thinking about getting my current .375 build dipped, and was wondering if their was any reasons I shouldn't.

Seems like duracoat and Krylon seem to find their way on most rifles around here.

I had two rifle stocks done in desert cammo and I have seen many rifles done in my area all with great results. I dont know what is involed in removing it if you ever changed your mind though. What pattern were you going to use?

I really like the MAX4 patterns....I just didn't know if it affected any thing on the rifle negatively during the dipping process.

My buddy used this company to dip the embelm on thier 55 chevy, photo 61 on their gallery. It looks good on the web page but it awsome in person. It makes the big carbon fiber shaker hood over the 572 stand out.

I have talked to them before they are nice people to talk to. I think they told me about 100.00

Those guys are into benchrest shooting if I am not mistaken. They also have a two week turn around which is unheard of. I have two stocks that I am shipping out next week to them, and an action following in a few weeks.

a good friend of mine has a son that does this. i resently saw a bear skull in full camoflage they did. it was amazing. he had it at the Harrisburg Sports show and everyone that looked at it said the same thing. they can paint almost anything with the many different patterns they have available. i'm probably gonna get my new build covered with something.

Mine was a little different, normally within the week though.

Mine had previously been finished with an extra hard finish that is giving them hell getting off. I tried it and it made my orbiting sander cry "uncle".

Told em so, but they said they could and would do it and for the $85 fee.

We will see soon.

They do shoot benchrest, mostly Hunter benchrest. I live in the Boise area and have shot with them and visted their shop. Scott and Todd are great to work with and do a fantastic job. I had a pre64 model 70 with a horrible looking fiberglass stock and now it looks like a beautiful burl wood. I have 2 other rifles that I am going to take over to them. There is basically no limit to what can be done with this stuff, they can take a piece of wood and make it look lie granite or marble.

Is this as durable as Duracoat?
Any opinions on how scratch resistant it is? (from the guys that already have it)

What are the laws regarding shipping a rifle to them? Do they have an FFL?
