HR 45 - Coming after your firearms

Are you ready for the House Bill titled 'HR 45, Blair Holt Licensing and Record Act of 2009'. It will make it illegal to own a firearm unless it is registered with the database in Washington D.C. As a gun owner you will have to be finger printed, you will be required to provide your DL#, SS#, you must maintain a valid address at all times, submit to mental and physical health records being put on file, you will also be required to file any address changes, and any ownership changes even if a private sale. Each update will cost $25 and if you fail to comply you will lose your right to own firearms. This bill and its language mirror almost completely one defeated last year in the House of Representatives. Will we the citizenry be as lucky this time with a super majority Democrat Congress?
Send this on to all true patriots! Protect your Second Amendment rights! Write your Congressperson to vote NO on HR 45!

The following is a summary of the bill as provided by the Congressional Research Service. If you read the whole bill:

Search Results - THOMAS (Library of Congress) you'll find it will effectively preclude the ownership of ANY firearms by law-abiding people unless licensed by the Attorney General. We have a gun regisry in Canada an I ca'nt remember how many hundreds of millions it cost the tax payers but it's stupid and it did'nt do a bit of good.

Anyone with a criminal record won't qualify as a gun owner.
Anyone's spouse, x, or g.f. with negative comments toward you can make it very difficult to be a gun owner.

I heard that very few people registered and it was repealed... any truth to that?

Nope, we've still got it. Like mentioned above it's been a huge waste of money.

Politicians just can't seem to understand that criminals don't register weapons.

I remember reading a article some time back (can't remember the exact numbers) that said that for the huge amount of money sunk into this registration system, that if you did the math and divided the total amount spent on the system by the number of weapons registered that it worked out to something like 3 - 400$ per firearm. Makes that single shot 12 ga that farmer brown uses once a year for a goose shoot much more valuable doesn't it.

Nothing but a huge waste.
