Jerry Stiller is making a larger action 1.450 OD and .750 bolt for the 338 Lapua Magnums. It is made in a single shot version and mag well version. I believe Kevin Wyatt of Wyatt Outdoors and Dave Kiff of PT&G are making a detachable box magazine and bottom metal. McMillian and others should have great aftermarket stocks available soon. These will be a great platform for Long Range shooting and hunting. I beleive Berger is coming out with some high BC 338 bullets too. I can't wait to put a couple together for customers.

I talked with Jim Borden and John Pierce and both are planning heavier actions for the 338 Lapua magnums. These all will be great additions to the large cartridge caliber rounds.

Nat, sure is somthing the way the market swings, quite a few guys are looking at 338 builds. It's nice the action makers are so acomidating.

After hearing about the way that a Lawton 7000 handeled a severly over pressured round from a 7mm-338 Lapua I don't see any problem with using a standared Rem 700 clone for a Lapua build.

Unless sombody gets stupid with their reloading trying to make the 338 Lapua somthing its not then I don't think their should be any problem ,or drops a full load of powder that was ment for their 6PPC in their

There is absolutely no problem with the 338 Lapua on a Rem-700 action and coupled with the Seekins DBM one can load out to 3.9" with ZERO problems

I will personally vouch for the lowly 700 Remington after building one in an Ackley improved 338LM for a buddy.

John is not known for being conservative with his handloads and this pig was no exception.

The action never skipped a beat.

Nesika builds a 338LM action as well, the Model M is offered in a number of configurations to accommodate specific needs/applications.
