Looking to meet some fellow varmint hunters out here in Utah. Been asking around locally and checked the internet, but it seems like their is no organizations out here. Are there any groups out here in Utah that any knows about? Thanks for any help.

Hey, I've been looking for the same thing lol. I just moved out to Utah from Michigan and would love to get into varmint hunting out here.

Wow, posted this a couple months back and finally get a response...lol I've been searching high and low and there doesn't seem to be anything of the like around here. Not really too many shooting clubs either. I know of the Utah Shootout, which I'll want to try next year, but as for the varmints, it seems to be just individual or buddies that get together and/or go out of state to hunt.

It would be nice to get some guys on here in Utah and come up with a partnership or something on getting together, finding good hunt sites, exchanging tips and tricks, etc.

Ya alone or not I cant wait to get out and find some coyotes, few guys at school where saying their all over.

It's just me right now, but I have talked to another member on here who is just as interested in varminting. Hopefully some of us can get together, and with some good info. on locations, etc., have some fun varminting.

ya that would be pretty cool, right now I'm broke from the move so all I have is a .22 and .17. I'm planning to get my hunting rig set up before next fall.

I'm getting my rig rebarreled now, so it's not going to be ready for a month or so. Then I was going to wait on the tax refund to get a good caller and a higher mag scope and good range finder. With all that, I'll be ready for sure.

I have a hunting partner here in south central PA that moved here from Utah and he lived there all his life. I'LL ask him about hunting clubs and get back to you with an answer. Hopefully he might have something I can pass on to you guys.

That's ok. Been pretty busy with work and have had the gun in the gunsmith for over two months waiting for a reamer and now I'm looking out another few weeks. It'll be exciting when I finally do get, it'll be heaven :D

shadowdrak,
Welcome to Utah! I've live in central UT, Richfield area and basically varmint hunting is where you find it! Tons of BLM land let me know!

I'll have to take you up on the offer, once my rifle gets finished. I'm looking at a few more weeks, then I'm going to have to find what loads will work great in it, then I can head out.

Thanks for letting me know of some good areas.
