A few years back I sent my Win mdl 70 300 Win Mag in to bullberry to have it re-barreled with a heavier 300 WM barrel (.750 at the muzzle). they put in pillars and glass bedded the factory wood stock (nice suprise as i didn't request it). they squared the action to the axis and lapped the bolt face and lugs.

The guns action is slick as butter but it now weighs 9.5 lbs with the factory stock.

My goal is to add a 20 MOA base and rings, purchase a Nikon 5x20 Monarch and i was going to buy a Hogue OM stock with the full aluminum block.

i am re-thinkingthe stock though,...any recommendations?

I am a big fan of Manners. There is sometimes a banner at the top of the page. A google search will turn them up quickly.

He produces several models. Most or all of them have a lightweight option.

Sorry - didn't mean to be rude I was posting from my crack berry. Not able to see the banners/links.

Not rude at all. The banners change constantly anyway. If you want to see one in particular, it'll run and hide.

That's funny. I should have said Manners Composites or something. Good luck.
