Speer Gold Dot 75 grainers

I know, just wondering how long until they show themselves again.i probably won't be going back to Alabama until early next year but I would love to find some to load and try on year this year maybe before I try on hogs, finding them is going to be the trick I think.

No experience with the 75gr, but I use the 62gr (MV 2860) and have had great success with it on pigs. 120yrds on a 150# boar, pass through a d dropped it in its tracks. Same thing on about the same size sow @ 150yrds. Great bullets, when you can find them!

I'm hopefully going to try them out on some does in Kentucky this year, good Lord willing.
If I like what I see I'll take them to Alabama in February and try them out on hogs.

Anyone have real world experience with on hogs out of .223 on hogs
We only take sub 250 feral pigs. I have a bunch of .223 Ar's. I don't take them hog hunting anymore. For one shot like on feeders and you can pick your placement 223 works 55-75 gr. As a kid in Texas I used a 22-250 until I moved up to 270. Multi shots and running pigs like night hunting you end up with wounded and squealers requiring many shots.

IMO, ethical hog hunting starts with 6mm and moves on up. My favorite is 308 ar 10 with 3200 fps 125 gr TNT varmint rounds

I just aquirred some 75's from a member so I'm looking forward to getting them and working up a load and hopefully getting some real world data this fall on some does.
Going to keep shots 150 and in.
