I usually try and go with lapua brass for everything. in this case 30-06 then run it through the sizer. When i get around my other computer i'll look up the load data and post it for you.

Im using 30-06 LC Match brass that I ran through the 25-06 sizer die, CCI 250 primer. 54gr. Re19 and Sierra 90gr. SPBT @3050fps in 1/2" groups @ 100 yrds
Plain old Remington cases with a CCI-BR2 primer 52 grs IMR 4350 and a 100 gr. Nosler ballistic tip or Sierra bullet will shoot as good as anything in your factory rifle. For deer go with 52 grs H4831 or 49 grs IMR or AA 4350 and a 117 Sierra and never look back. If you shoot a few deer with that 25-06 and the listed load you will never want another rifle. BANG FLOP 99.9% of the time.
I am interested. To show you how much I know about this; how many do I need to start? My cousin reloads a lot and is going to help me. I also have to find out if this 25-06 will be too much gun for me, having 8 shoulder surgeries and VERY limited to weight and recoil.

If you don't reload at the present time, I would just buy factory ammo, and see if you like shooting the 25-06. Also, get yourself a PAST PAD for your shoulder to help handle the recoil. The 25-06 is a gentle caliber for recoil, but if I had recently had shoulder surgery, I would wear the past pad. If your still interested in some brass later, just let me know. 100 pieces would last you

I would loooove to 'find' a rifle in my basement! I just checked, darn, nuthin ..
The 25-06 is rather light on recoil and even if you dont shoot a whole lot is easy to get used to..anyway, I started reloading from factory fired ammo, and seem to get the best results with Rem cases. This strategy worked for me, and the cases are fire formed to 'your' rifle chamber.(if you buy new cases, I suggest Winchester - check midwayusa, sinclair etc).. You really don' t need a whole lot to get started, a couple boxes would do for a while. Like RT2506 said, and I agree yo cant go wrong with the 117-gr SBT, it will flat out get the job done, also the Nosler 115-gr BTip works great too. Both have good BC's . I think speer makes a 120-gr spitzer that also has high BC but have not triedit. Good luck!

Are you telling us that you have so many guns you can't keep track of all of them?!I just "found" a Browning A-Bolt in the basement ...
