Here is my first non-factory rifle. Kirby accurized and re-barreled my old Weatherby Vanguard 300 WM with a new Lilja tube. I also had Joel Russo cut a custom laminate stock. My good buddy Troy finished the stock for me in exchange for me bedding his Savage....good trade for me!

Due to hunting season, I just finally got the rifle bedded in the new stock and the stock finished. I also just installed the new Nightforce 3.5-15x56 that I bought from Third Generation Shooting Supply (lerch) here on the forum. I guess this is really a LRH.com rifle..........:D.

As you would expect from Kirby, it is an easy 1/2 MOA rifle. So far all I've shot is 180 AB with 4831SC at 3050. This year it took 2 mulies, an antelope and one coyote. Ready to hunt it weighs 12 pounds, not bad.

Interesting color choice on the stock. Some of the old standard cartridges like the 300WM are really great choices and just keep on doing a good job.

I forget the name of the color but it is one of Joel's standards. I wanted something different. I am happy with the results.

As for the 300WM, your right. It does everything and more I am capable of at this point. Hopefully some day I will have a place to shoot consistently past 600 yards and have need (and skill) for one of Kirby's AMs.

Very nice, I like to see them all dressed up.

Colors are Black/Brown/Rust.

Just want to thank you again for your patience with the stock order.

I sent him a stock inletted for the short action Wby instead of the long action. I did'nt have a CNC program written for the long action, and he was kind enough to send me his barreled action so I can write one. The second stock had the correct inlet.

In case you thought I was feeble minded and didn't have much cognitive function left. Those foam floor pads make really great insulated sleeping pads when you camp on frozen ground.

Think about it !!!!!

I would never accuse you of that :D.......they are also great for keeping you from getting sore, cold feet while working in a basement gun room. I have "carpeted" the whole area with them. Your right, their great and relatively cheap.

Wow perfetct timing. I love it will you put up a few more pics of the action?I have the same action sitting in the safe waiting for the money to fiinsh it in the same calibeer and stock you picked.I just love it.

Sorry this took a while, I got distracted tonight buying a new shotgun:D. Let me know if you want something more than this and I can take more pictures.

That's is great thank you so much for taking the time to put up the extra pics. The rifle looks great I cant wait to here more about it in the future.

Did you use the factory bottom meatal in the build?

The bottom metal is factory. The only change I made was adding an aftermarket trigger, I believe it was a Timeny. Not sure anyone else makes one for it.........

If I can help anymore, let me know.
