I am very happy with the way my new tikka shot. I finally received my Mueller Tac II 3-10X44 and got everything mounted up in the dednutz game reaper mount and headed outside. I bore sighted it and then first shot was 2" low at 100 yards. Took the scope up 8 clicks and the next shot was dead center, 3rd one to the right was my fault as I jerked the trigger. Shots 4, 5, and 6 all landed in the bullseye making a nice 1/2" group. Load consists of a 75 grain v-max, 45.2 grains of IMR 4350, Remington brass and CCI 200 primer. I loaded them a little longer to 2.70" C.O.L and they produced 3200 FPS.

I've got the blued model, very satisfied as well. If you would like to trade data for pet loads, let me know. I've got a 70gr and 55gr ballistic tip load, and a so-so load for 85gr TSX. Interested in a tight grouping 100 gr soft point load...

PM me if you want....

I bought one not to long ago in .243. Its a Y3 Stainless. What a wonderful gun. I would tell anyone to buy one. Very accurate.

Loader loft I think I sent you a PM but I'm not sure if it went through.
What load are you having luck with in your Tikka with the 55 grain bullet?

I'm looking for the exact same rifle in left-handed and haven't been successful in locating one yet? Everything I've read and everyone I've talked with love their T3's and they all seem to shoot lights out.

Did your stock come camo, or did you have it done?

Great groups.

I see them on gunbroker quite a bit.

Tikka T3 Lite Stainless 243 LEFT HAND - New! : Bolt Action at GunBroker.com

This price seems a bit high but if you keep looking, you'll probably find one cheaper.

I have two left hand Tikka T3 stainless in .243 . You can get them at Sportsmans Warehouse for $579.00. Gunbroker sounds expensive.

Really now, many thanks for the lead. I'll check them out. I'm assuming since you have two you like them and they shoot as advertised?

Thanks,

Jeff

I really like mine. I liked it so much I bought another one just to have two. They both have Leupold VXIII 2.5-8x32 scopes on them. I have been doing a lot of coyote hunting and I like the gun for that.

My Tikka's are very accurate. I am really pleased with the weight of the gun and the overall feel. Its just a great gun. I am not sure what else to say other than get one - I am sure you will be pleased with your purchase.
