Come on guys, show me your best loads for 168 Bergers, 180 Bergers, and whatever else you have found to shoot well.

My 7MM WSM is on the way, and I need to get to it!!

I have 4831SC and Reloder 25, but will be buying whatever works better!

I also just started loading for my 7mm wsm. I have found 64.0 gr. R22 CCi Br primers and 180 gr. Bergers group are sub 1/2" @ 200yds. Also try 68.8 gr. Magnum same bullet and Fed 215 match primers.

I'm not used to seating bullets as deep as they need to be seated in the 7MM WSM, it seems they are way down in the powder space, or am I just a sissy?

I shoot about 69 grains Retumbo under a 180 Berger seated .005 in the lands lit by a CCI BR2 in Prepped Win cases.
It is good for sub 1/2 MOA and 2985fps.
It is bad for anything it is pointed at.

Another good load is 64 gn H4831sc behind a 162 a-max about .003 in the lands lit by a CCI BR2. This load shot great, but the a-max is a little fragile for elk, and may completely destroy the shoulders of a whitetail, pronghorn, ibex, etc. It worked good! Nothing got away.

The next 7mm WSM build should be done shortly and I'm gonna try some 154 SST's and interbonds in it due to short mag length. It will be a mid range gun anyway that won't weigh much. Hope to have it shootin soon.

If you are cramming them in a short action, they will be seated deep. Just part of the equation. Long bullets, long case, short mag box equals wierd feeling for the first few you seat. It goes away after they shoot lights out.

As the usual fine print: these loads may be dangerous in any other firearm, start with a lower powder weight yada yada yada.

Thanks guys, keep them coming!!

I have just been seeing where they go with suggest COAL from the loading books, and those long bullets do go deep in the case!!

I've got some JLK 180's coming, and some Berger 180's but so far I've only been able to find Berger 168's locally.

H4350 works well with the 168's but it's a little short on velocity for the 180's. I'm working on a load with H1000 and 180gr VLD's

Very nice! H1000 is definately faster than 4350. With the 180's H1000 gives 3 MOA less drop at 1000yds compared to a load of simular pressure and H4350.

175 SMK and 61-65 grs of H4831sc work up
162 A-max and 64 grs of H4831sc
66.3 gr H1000 and Berger 180s - 2,925+
66.3 gr H1000 and Sierra 175s - 2,925+
66.5 gr RL-25 and SIerra 175s - 2,925+

I had a SD of 9.2 on my extreme temp test by the way. I will never even attempt a different powder over H1000 due to its extreme ability to resist temp drops and raises.

Don't sell yourself short on just H1000. Try the test with any of the "extreme" powders, and you'll be just as happy.
