22x enough for 1000yards?

is 22X enough power for shooting 1000yards EFFECTIVELY in an F-class match?

Yes.
I believe the 5-22's and 6.5-20's, and 6-24's are able to be competitive in F-Class.
Now, I do not shoot F-Class, but I have shot a few 1K BR matches with 20x power scopes.

Not sure what effectively means, but if it means hitting the target, then I would say yes. I shoot 1000 yards with 10x (not ideal, but effective). :D

I shoot 1000yds. at least once a week and have found the nightforce very effective. I have tried it with a bushnell 6500 16 power and found it ok for silloettes but not good enough for paper. The 24 power leopold did the job but not as clear as the nightforce. If you are soley shooting paper a higher power may serve you better.

Yes. MY brother is doing it very well with his 3-17X USO SN-3 in F-class T/R, and I'm doing it with my 4-22X USO SN-3 in the Open Class.

For 22x would be plenty but if you would like we just took in 2 Nightforce scopes slightly used for 8-32x56m and a 12-42x56mm. I have not put a price in them yet but if you would be interested feel free to let me know.

I have two NF 5.5-22x50s and love them. I was banging a 4" popper at 1,000 yesterday using one on my 6.5-284.

Last weekend, I shot an F-class match and there was almost no mirage until the very end of the match. I could see the "X" in the x-ring at 1k, and all of the scoring rings, and so could effectively could quarter the 5" X-ring well enough to be confident at 800, 900, 1000 yards. Still didn't win, but could see the target fine.

I could be, but id have to organise an import permit ect ect. actually might look at one of the benchrest models since they are nearly 20% cheaper.. cant see why they are that cheaper but they should be the same optically and mechanically??

and they only have 50MOA of internal travel, not 100MOA like the NXS which is a pitty

actually they do have an illuminated reticle
