I chronographed my .338 rum. IT is shooting 2850fps using a 250 grain soft point bullet. If I zero my rifle at 100 yards. How do I calculate drops at 200 - 500 yards. I have a Mark IV scope which as milldot reticle along with target turrets. How do I calculate how many clicks I will have to adjust my turret if say I try to take a 300 yard shot?

I read some drop charts online that say this bullet should be 9 inches low at 300 so using my first mildot with is approx 3 inches at 100 would put me close to dead on at 300(using 3(") x 3 (1ooyards)). I'd rather not have to aim using the mil dots but make corrections using the target turrets. Each click is 1/4" adjustments at 100 yards.

what about 22 inch drop at 400 yards and 45 inch drop at 500 yards? How many clicks would I need then?
