Favorite deer rifle

As of right now, my favorite is my savage 116 weather warrior chambered in 25-06 and topped with a swarovski z5 3.5x18 BT. I did just pick up a 6.8 western though so we will see if I start using that for deer eventually or just use it for elk, moose, and bear.
I'm going to be interested to see how the 6.8W pans out as the new iteration of the 270wsm.

With deer season not far away it's time to dust off and shoot (OL PAINLESS) my 6.5 /06 shooting 143 Hornady ELDX AND RL 26
Of all of the guns in my gun safe this
Is my favorite
As far as factory loads go in my neck of the woods 243 Winchester with a good 100gr bullet or 25-06 with a good bullet is almost perfect. From varmint to deer. Thick brush? 30-30! That 30-30 cartridge has probably taken more whitetail in Kentucky than any other.
30-06 is probably the most universal factory caliber for North America. It's the granddaddy you see on the web advertising supplements with a build like Lou Ferrigno.

Nothing kills a whitetail any deader then the ol' classic .308 Win.

Mine is basic with M 700 in a 300 Win a different trigger. Nothing too fancy but it drops the Muley's. Running a Berger 185 with great results. Always come back to the gun because of my confidence in it.

As with most I have several rifles to choose from. My 3 go to rifles are the 270 Weatherby 140 accubonds, Sako AV 2506, 115 nosler have had these two since 87, and my work horse that started with a discarded Sako AV action I picked up for sixty bucks, Krieger #3 barrel chambered in 280 AI 40* on a classic McMillan stock bedded using 160 Nosler AB. RL19. This rifle shoots better that I can see sub moa.on good days .4. Has been with me since 94. I wish all the best in getting out and doing what we look forward to since the end of the last season. Life is good and always best when looking across a draw with a slight wind in your face watching a buck chasing does with the morning sun peaking over the horizon.

FN Mauser 98 actioned 7x57. B&C camo stock. 2-10x50 Kahles illuminated scope. 140gn Nosler Accubonds into just over an inch at 100 metres. It's a bit of an ugly duckling but it doesn't fail.

Remington Model 600 350 Rem Mag

The longer I have this rifle, the more it becomes the designated deer rifle. It is light, short, it whacks hard, and it is far from a safe queen. It makes hauling it around the mountain thickets of PA an enjoyable experience. While others may get picked occasionally if hunting from a stand, this one is definitely my go to.

Restocked the little brother in 6.5 Rem Mag, first short mag made.... Doesnt like anything heavier than 130 gr, but the 120 Barnes ttsx WORKS.

over the years my favorite deer rifle has changed from a 30-30, 257 Rob., 25-06 rem, 270 win, to a 270-264 Win/Mag.
I would pick any of them back up and go hunting.
the best of them all is a tie between the Tikka 695 chambered in 270 Win and the Win 70 chambered it 270/264 Win Mag

My favorite deer rifle is my GAP NON TYPICAL 300 Winchester Mag. Topped with a vx6 3-18x50 TMOA and 180 grain Barnes TTSX. I also killed a small black tail at 505 yards with it.
