I like her more all the time.;)

I am never very fond of any politition or believe much of what they say. But I have to admit, I think she might just be one that is ambitious enough to dig in and do what she says. I was more than impressed with her speach and I am very excited to give her and McCain my vote.

What I felt the best about is that as I set there listening to her speech, It was like I was sitting there listening to my wife or mom. Just normal, real world strong women with a good head on their shoulders telling it like it is.

When I hear Hillary speak or Obama or Biden speak, my first impression is that they feel they know best for me and my family because they are the enlightened people and all of us hicks should be happy to be told what is best for us and just keep sending in the money and we will take care of you.

I do not know if it will happen or not but I hope McCain and Palins kick the HELL out of Obama/Biden. Time will tell but I know for a fact that we will be better off with the former in power instead of the later.

As a small business owner, it scares the hell out of me to hear what Obama wants to do to business owners as far as taxes.

Hopefully the media will leave Palins and her family alone. If I hear Diane Sawyer comment one more time about Palins pregnant daughter I may just puke, let it go, their getting married for christ sake. I thought pre marital sex was what the libers wanted!!! Only if its a liberal getting knocked up I guess.

Go McCain/Palins. Once then get into office, then we have to lean on them to get the immigration problem under control, he is not overly strong in that area but we can work on him.

Sarah always preached an open transparent government in Alaska. The only demerit I have against her since she took office is she fired her Commishioner of Public Safety and said that neither she nor any member of her Administration had pressured that Commissioner to fire her ex-brother-in-law. Well then later a recorded tape was released of one of her top aides talking to a State Trooper pressuring the Troopers to fire Sarah's ex-brother-in-law. Her husband then also admitted calling the Commissioner several times arguing for the firing of the brother-in-law. After the gig was up, Sarah had to come back out and publicly change her story. After-the-fact she said members of her administration did pressure for the firing of her ex brother-in-law but that she had no knowledge of those contacts. Then the State Legislature launched a formal investigation into abuse of power. Sarah said she and her staff would cooperate fully and that she welcomed the investigation. Now, to make matters worse, after McCain selected Sarah as his running mate, Sarah has lawyered up and now she and her staff are refusing to volunteer to cooperate with, and talk to, the investigator hired by the Alaska Legislature to investigate whether or not she or her administration committed the abuse of power. She is now claiming that this matter is an ethics issue of which the Legislature has no authority to investigate and that it should be investigated by an ethics board which she, as Governor, appointed. Sounds like she only desires an open, transparent Administration when she's not being personally investigated.

She's lost a lot of credibility over this matter and it's the only real black mark against her to date as Governor of Alaska. It will be interesting to see if she can keep this turd swept under the rug until the November presidential elections.

Nobody's perfect, and other than this incident, she makes for one heck of a good looking Governor!

The one thing that I do have concern over, is should McCain win and then die in office... no way do I believe Sarah (the hockey mom) is ready to be Commander-in-Chief of our armed forces. But I think she'd be a decent Vice President.

Phowath, sounds like a "tempest in a teapot" stirred up by her enemies.

She's the Governor, and if some hump Comissioner balks at following her wishes, well, fire the stupid *******!

That's what no-nonsense bosses do: fire uncooperative subordinates. She's a strong lady, and obviously won't tolerate fools gladly. More power to her. She's just the kind of leader we need as VPOTUS.

1) The sad part about this is that she's the one that stirred up the pot. Her enemies just took advantage of the situation which she created.

2) Yes... she is the Governor. She selected the Commissioner of Public Safety herself less than two years ago. Then she fires him over a family feud because the Commissioner doesn't fire her former brother-in-law.

3) I don't mind a no-nonsense boss that uses authority appropriately. What I object to is a boss, Governor, or Vice President that abuse their authority. Like they say, nothing corrupts more completely than absolute authority. If you see no problems with her decision to fire her Commissioner in order to see her former brother-in-law fired from the State Troopers, then you're a scary kind of guy.

Now the Republicans hold the majority in the House and Senate in Alaska. For them to launch an investigation of abuse of power by a Republican Governor - that ought to tell you there is serious concerns over this matter by other people just as smart as you or I.

Being an Alaskan and hearing Sarah promote an open, honest, transparent government, and then suddenly see her lawyer up & stall the investigation by refusing to cooperate with the Legislative hired investigator? Well that was a real awakening and a disappointment to many in my home State. We thought we had a fresh beginning from some corruption with members of the State Legislature and with our US Senator and Congressman. It was like a breath of fresh air. And then Sarah creates this predicament with her decision to fire a Commissioner that was well regarded by most, and then backtracks on her former official statements that there was no pressuring by either her or member's of her Administration brought upon the Commissioner of Public Safety to fire her former brother-in-law (this re-positioning only occurred after a tape recorded conversation of her top Aide pressuring a State Trooper supervisor to fire her former brother-in-law is played on the State news networks). The best a person could categorize this was Sarah made a stupid mistake. And it would only go downhill from there.

But don't let this "tempest in a teapot" - an abuse of authority and power by Governor Sarah Palin, interfere with your love affair. Lots of people will overlook an awful lot of flaws in order to elect politicians for personal benefit. That's why talking polictics is a waste of time. Besides... like I said, she's a good looking gal.

She's an NRA life member, hunts and fishes, just the type of person we need in the Whitehouse! Great selection McCain!

To address the idea that Palin is not capable to be "Commander in Chief" of the Armed forces. Do you know that the Governor of each state is the Commander in Chief of its own states National Guard?

I think the McCain Paulin ticket offers a team that is more experienced and capable than the Obama Biden team. In addition, I know what I am buying with the McCain Paulin ticket. You pretty much know, or can view Bidens record and know what you are getting....Obama however, I am sure he is a Wolf in Sheep's Clothing. He presents himself to be a compassionate image, I feel he is hiding what he would be and would do in office.

I do know that Iran, China, and Palestine based enemies are supporting Obama:confused:. I hope Americans pay attention to the candidates this year.

Firing that stubborn Commissioner was not an "abuse of authority and power," it was an "exercise" of authority and power.

I agree totally with Sarah's agenda and goals, and if she has to roll over a few obstructionist dummies from time to time, well, it's ok with me.

Having a great body doesn't hurt either. :)

Don't get me wrong. I didn't say I preferred Obama and Biden. I just hope Sarah learned something about the proper exercise of power and uses it when it needs used, but properly. Not something as improper and petty-anty as going after an ex-brother-in-law.

There's no denying McCain knows when a fights worth fighting, which is pretty darn comforting. I agree there's little track record to know what Obama would do.

This election is not republican verses democrat!!!!

It is conservative verses liberal.
Patriot verses doin't give a s#!%.
Tax payers verses non tax payers.
The american way of life verses politicians that want to tell us what we want.

Being from the south used to mean that you were a baptist,a democrat and a
conservative. "NOT any More" now most are Baptist, conservative an republicans
except for the illegals and the "you owe me croud".

And as far as Palins firing someone ; every one can make a mistake, but its how
you correct it that counts.

I would elect Palins over Obama for commander in chief if she were running for the
job.

Lets take america back from the foreigners.
