You'll are lucky you can use those to hunt with. I'd love to try one but they are banned in Oregon.
Maybe it has a Night force scope on it ? You could buy a couple nice rifles for that much. I'll stay vertical also.
I did and got the R500 E sniper model plus also waiting for my Burris Oracle X laser range finding scope. I work 70-80 hours a week so it doesn't drain the bank account.Ok, Would you pay $3500 for a xbow?

Exactly. The only difference on whitetails between a 280fps compound and a 500fps compound is you can get a bad hit further. I've been told mule deer and elk don't jump the string so bad but I've only gun hunted those. A 500fps crossbow just has to be loud, making it worse. Really quiet and slow is better for whitetails than loud and fast.I personally wouldn't pay that ,because #1 the crossbow I've got shoots 375 fps just fine #2 I'll put that same 3500 $ into something else . And I promise there isn't an animal in the wild killed within bow range that can tell the difference between 300 fps and 500 fps . And yes I know a lot of game can duck arrows . I just think if it ducks it at 350 fps it'll end up being a possible cripple or still a miss at 500 fps
With quite a bit less bolt drop it actually improves your chances of a lethal shot and at that speed by the time an animal reacts the bolt will have already passed through them!Exactly. Not 3500 for that Ravin. But i did spend over 4k for my 10 pt vapor rs 470 package, scope special custom arrows, a few new heads and target.Ok, Would you pay $3500 for a xbow?

A war story.Absolutely nothing better than a nap in the woods or stand! Best sleep EVER.
Until a mountain lion sneaks up behind you and clamps down on your neck !Absolutely nothing better than a nap in the woods or stand! Best sleep EVER!
In my 50+ years of hunting, nothing was more challenging than a late season archery elk hunt. Refreshing, saw a lot of elk, but getting within 30 yards wasn't happening.I enjoy using my crossbow in December. After sitting in a tree all October and half of November including a week before rifle opener in the UP freezing my tail off, I really look forward to sitting in my heated raised box blind with crossbow on the sill. No worries of movement or sound concerns. Just a comfy leather office chair waiting on a deer. It's more of a meat hunt for a doe. Rarely will I see a buck worthy of killing during that season where I hunt.
