It seems the new rifle is broke in now. Usually the rifle shoots 1/2 MOA to 3/4 MOA. I think the learning curve of properly shouldering these big boys helped my shooting.

Is it common for the accuracy to significantly change after about ten to fifteen shots in these bigger calibers? My gun seems to.

Great shooting! Your load is identical to mine in my 338 EDGE. Yours seems to be shooting a tad better then mine though, lol. Might just be the shooter, lol. Haven't shot mine enough times at 100 yards to notice if it gets better with a little more rounds down the barrel.

Nice group, It is not necessarily common to have the larger calibers accuracy change with a number of rounds, it is usually due to the barrel needing to foul up a bit. What kind of barrel is it?

I mis-worded my first post. My accuracy seems to go out after the barrel gets dirty. I had about twenty rounds through it from the last couple trips out. Yesterday, I went to the range and it shot about an inch and a half group. Went home and cleaned it and when I went back out I shot four rounds through it and 2,3, and 4 were 1/2 MOA. This morning I went out and the above group was shots 5,6, and 7. So, I was wondering where anyone else shooting this caliber finds they need to scrub their gun?

The barrel is a #7 Lilja, 30 inch plus a brake, remington action, sendero stock, nightforce, etc. Thanks.

IThe barrel is a #7 Lilja, 30 inch plus a brake,

I was just curious cuz my 338 Lapua is a #8 Lilja 27 1/2 finished length. I am getting about the same velocity with about the same load. I have not had this happen yet with about 80 rounds down the tube but it has been cleaned about every 30 rounds after break in.

Thanks!

Jeff

Some barrels shoot good dirty and others shoot better cleaned. With accuracy like that, I wouldn't have any complaints if I had to clean it every 5 shots! SIgn that gun up for some benchrest competitions!
