Fellas, I got my WY pronghorn tag. This is the first time I have ever even put in for an out of state tag, and I got my first choice - area 103. I'm gettin' excited already. Anyone with any experience in that specific unit?

First Time Wyoming Antelope Tag!

I received my Wyoming Antelope Tag for Area 7. Reservations with an outfitter in the Newcastle area. In doing quite a bit of research recently, it sounds like Sweetwater, Carbon, Freemont and Natrona are the choices for a B&C speed goat. I went on the internet looking at some of the outfitters in these areas and I was suprised at the type of terrain. There's a lot of rivers and wooded areas, really beautiful, not at all the type of plains area normally associated with roaming antelope. I'm really looking forward to going antelope hunting in October. Also going to check out the Pine Ridge-Black Hills area to go Merriam Turkey hunting next spring.

The outfitters are going to publish the best pictures of Wyoming they can. If you've never been to Wyoming before, you'll see when you get there that there are vast plains of sage desert between mountains ranges. The mountain ranges and foothills are beautiful country and the sage plains have their own beauty as well. You will find the vast majority of antelope in the plains of sage and irragated fields. It's a good opportunity for LR hunting because they have outstanding vision and are challanging to get close to, especially during hunting season.

Good hunting and enjoy your experiences.

To the north of you will be Keyhole State park

I took these pictures there

The little dots on the shore line to the left of the white pelican are turkeys.
