Any one have experience with the silver scenar 155 out of a REMINGTON LTR .308?

What velocities were you getting?

What loads worked the best?

I would love any and all info you guys have. Thanks S.

For the Scenar I was using 44.8gr Varget. Unfortunately my rifle (custom 308 liked the SMK's better for accuracy. 1/4 MOA wasn't a problem at 100yds but at 300yds they were opening up to 1/3 MOA at best while the SMK's held 1/4 MOA to 300yds. My velocites were approaching 2900fps with a 25" Shilen barrel. Please Start low and work up.

What primers? were they the molly coated silver scenars? I want to make sure I start low enough. I know that the moly coated ones will take a hotter charge than the plain vanilla, so I think that would be important to know as well.

What is the twist of you barrel?

I would like to keep the speeds on the lower end of cooking. 2800 is plenty of muscle for my needs HA HA

They were not the silver. I was using Rem 9 1/2 and CCI-BR2 primers (both worked well). The twist on the barrel was 1:10. Factory barrels generally give slower MV's.

Right on. Thanks for taking the time to answer my questions. I will post what I come up with...
