joel said he could do the stock, benchmark is going to do the barrel and build, and i am getting a reconfigured custom rifle !

my weatherby factory second stock is going to get made into joel's "wildcat humpback" (iirc)pattern, looks almost like a weatherby. graining in the raw stock looked really good to me ! like most weatherby's awesome figuring.

benchmark is making me a lilja number 4 contour fluted 1/9 twist 3 groove 7mm barrel finished at 26 inches. caliber ..... 280 ai....

keeping it simple, factory brass, reasonable cost of dies, can fire .280's if needed. 7mm mag velocities when wanted, 280 rem., for light duties.
plus no action mods, no necking down brass, no annealing, no fuss, no muss....

they are going to blueprint my remmy long action, new recoil lug, thread, chamber, complete ready to drop into the new stock....

talley 1 piece ring/bases, with a luppy 3.5-10x40 to top it off.

did i choose wisely ????

pet loads anyone ???

i would like to shoot barnes 130 tipped tsx's... should be a good all around bullet..

The guys at benchmark do great work. You will not be dissapointed! They built my buddy a rifle that shoots extremely well. They just got that 3 grove button for 7mm (I'm going to have the first one, I'll let you know how it shoots).

let me clarify that statement.
i did a deal with cinch, when i showed up, my wife and i were test driving a hummer h2....
guess who is now daily driving a hummer h2 ???... and it's not i ....

so i get what i want now for the most part....

without asking.

talked to ron the other day, looks like i am still a few weeks out...
afain, their 3 groove cutter isn't up n runnin yet, so that might be the longer delay ?

any word on yours , landcbeitner ??

and no pet loads from anyone out there in cyberland ??
