Ok, this is my first post on here so I hope I do this right, I have a Win Laredo 300 Wm and I would like to rebarrel it, I have looked at Lilja, Krieger, Badger & Shillin. I will be using this rifle for Mule Deer & Elk using heavier bullets 180gr and up. I realize these guys all make good stuff but just looking for the best barrel for the money, Thanks!

Lilja barrels are second to none and break in faster than any I have found.

And he delivers it when he says he will.

Who will be doing the smithing? Because of the extractor cut rquired on a Win 70 Laredo a "Prefit" barrel woudn't be my choice. Shilen, Hart, Krieger and Pac-Nor (and others) offer rebarreling/fitting services as well as providing good quality barrels. Some barrel makers (like Lilja) just provide contoured barrels. Personally I'd choose Hart if I was gong to rebarrel one of my two Larado's, but I'm happy with the factory barrels on both. Maybe I was just lucky to get good ones.

I'm curious why you want to rebarrel? Is it shot out or just a bad barrel?
