Thinking of a 325 WSM! Anyone got anything good or bad about them? I've got a 6mm WSM and a 6.5 WSM like both want to add another. Any good 8mm bullets?

if you want to add another, just make it a 338WSM. that would be a hammer. of course if you're not worried about long range, a 358 or a 375 would be impressive for hitting power!

I'm having Kirby Allen of APS, build me a 338 WSM as we speak. I choose this over the 325 because of the much larger bullet selection. I reload all my ammo so it didn't matter to me if it wasn't an off the shelf cartridge or not. If you have the 6 and 6.5 then you to must reload, so I would look into the 338 WSM. I have been told by several people so far that it can match the 338 win. mag. performance level, just in case you need some numbers to run against the 325 WSM. AL

As with all the short mags, the 325 has a disadvantage with heavier bullets if it is in a short action. The 200 g AB is a good bullet, but it's BC still isn't very high. If you don't mind a wildcat, then I'd look at a 338WSM and have it built on a long action. Get the freebore set to shoot a little heavier bullets too. My Brotherinlaw has a 325 and it is a good rifle, but my 300wsm is a better long range rifle because of bullet selection.

Since this is a long range hunting forum our answers are related to long range performance. 25, 270, 8mm, 375 calibers are poor choices at the present ime, because of a lack of easily obtained HIGH BC bullets..

Check the selection of the .325 suitable bullets and than forget about it.
