*****Wolf hunting..... now legal in Wyoming******

No it is not... pretty sad when you live in Wyoming and don't even know we can shoot them as a Predator out of the protected area. Day or night, they are the same as a Coyote. Predator shot on site by anyone.... Heck even non residents can shoot them out of the protected area...

NO DEFENSE OF LIVESTOCK... Go read the wolf plan on the G&F website.

As of friday the 28th at 12:01 am it was legal...

I'm sorry I mis-understood the article that I found. Don't freak-out on me!

It just suprises me on the ignorance of our own people...

Wasn't freaking out, just thought you'd be more up to speed ,being a hunting and shooting guy in Wyoming.....

Sendero_Man,

Now that I've cooled off a bit from watching the video.........

Do I understand the following correctly?

Elk are trophy animals in certain areas as around Yellowstone but outside of those areas they are the same as a yote?

It doesn't matter if you can kill a wolf on sight in Wyoming. How many do you think will die? If the number is significant, the huggers will file an immediate court injunction. I'm happy about the de-listing. I'll be happier if the courts decide to let the de-listing stand, and allow the states (Wyoming, Idaho, Montana) to implement their respective management plans. Until this happens, the Wyoming predator thing means nothing. mtmuley

Sendero,
Sure looking forward to the first pic! Good luck. I make a few trips to the Jackson area each year. Where are they protected?

here is the protected area. Trophy status. Hunting this fall, unless any lawsuits hold up.

The rest of the state is all predator status. Shoot on site. :)

Bill Hoppe is a friend of mine. He knows of what he speaks. He was one of the ones who accurately predicted what is actually happening today 13 years ago. It's a crying shame, let's hope the "anti's" and the "huggers" dont get their appeal approved.

That map is a complete joke. It will take 13 more years for the wolves to move beyond that boundary. I am only familiar with the areas in and around Cody, but I can tell you in that area this delisting isn't going to do a **** bit of good. The areas to the west and nw of Cody where a great deal of Elk, Sheep hunting isn't affected at all by this new predator designation. I don't know who came up with the map, G & F or the Feds, but it is a complete JOKE! I'm very dissapointed with this!
