Is anyone shooting this rig ? Looking at buying one, and want to be able to shoot 250gr shockwaves at 300-400 yds. Is this ML capable of this ?

unless your getting a realy good deal on the barrel I woulden't see small increase in speed if any , out weighing the cost.

I shoot the 250gr SST's out of a 26" Encore with a magnum charge and I'm sure it'll get to 400yds but that would likely be the very max.

If your looking for a true long range muzzel loader I'd look at the Savage and use smokeless powders.

James,

How well does that combination group at 200yds, 300yds, other?

I didn't realize you could shoot smokeless powder in a muzzleloader. Guess I have some" learn'n " to do, before I decide on which muzzleloader to buy. Thanks for the response.

You can only use smokeless powder in muzzel loaded desgined for it !!

I have heard of guys using it in their Encore and other inlines but thats some scary ground to be treading on whith the pressure potential thats their. The smokeless powder is not as stabil in the pressures that the typical muzzeloaders operate at so it can make for a dangerous situation.
