I have looked everywhere for Federal 215M primers, why are they so hard to find?Does anyone know where to find them?

You may be out of luck for awhile---I bought 10k a few months ago and just by a stroke of luck found those---came in the day before. Would have been in a world of hurt as this season is about to start..

When you do find them go ahead and buy a couple of years worth so you don't have to worry about it.

I was told by the people at Widener's Reloading Supply that it would be late spring to late summer before Federal, CCI & Winchester would be supplying the public with their primers. They have been putting everything into a BIG military contract. About a week ago I was in Widener's and they had started getting some WW & CCI primers. You might give them a look Widener's Reloading and Shooting Supply INC or give them a call 1-800-615-3006 .

If you would add a little basic geography to your profile then I could determine if it was worth telling you where some are.

If there's a Sportsman's Warehouse close by, I'd check there EVERY DAY.

The one by my house gets the GMs in occasionally and they usually sell out by the end of the day.

To add some geography to your profile go to "User CP" select " edit profile" then go down to "where do you live". Type in whatever strikes your fancy. I spent my life working on rivers so I identify with a river.

If you put something like "Midwest mudhole" or "Ohio cornfield" it is enough for us to know what you hunt and where you live in general.

The store that has the primers does not ship them and I would not risk trying to ship something like that. Too much could go wrong.

I have 2+ bricks of the GM215M primers but I was out of the GM210M. This past week I stopped by Cabelas and they had some. I paid $40.99 for a brick of GM210M's. They also has some GM215M's.

I live in NW Ohio,BTW,how do I edit my profile?

I live in NW Ohio as well. I just ordered 70,000 of the 215 magnum when my supplier made it "in stock" again yesterday. Hopefully, I'll at least get 25,000 due to the mad rush. The 215 Match version has been out of stock for months.

According to Federal, last week, the retail shortage on primers is due to shooter HOARDING and not caused by the war effort. They are producing primers 24/7. CCI also claims to be at maximum production rate. Some manufacturers state that it won't be until the summer before the production rate and purchase rate evens out.

It does appear that we have caused our own problem by panic buying every box that hits the shelves.
