What are you folks using to get out to 2k? I need a comfortable to carry (belt loop) unit.

i'm thinking about a 2000 model. they cost about 475. some have pulled readings of 2800 with them. to me this would be the exception rather than the rule. most get readings out to 2k with them but the target is everything.the Swarovski seems to have the best reputation for something to go 1200-1700 with 2k happening in good conditions. they cost about 900. if you want one to go to 2k in about every scenario, the Vectronics would be the best. very small, rated to 2500. it goes for about 3k.

these range finders are like most things. as the distance gets greater, the cost goes up exponentially!

I just got a Bushnell 1500 from a member on here, and with an old battery I hit a road sign at 1591 yards every day. I haven't been able to find another sign at a greater distance and been able to range it. On road signs it is good to 1500+ every time, sometime when there is no traffic I will see just how far I can take it. On objects that aren't a bright color it can go to around 1200 from what I have seen, on rusty silos and houses.

The Swarovski is the only civilian laser unit I have seen that will range to about 1900yds, past that the Wild is the best I have found and at 29# it might rip your (belt loop) OFF.

The Newcon 2500 and 3000 should get out that far, they don't look huge in pictures. Their 4000 looks a bit bigger, and the 25000 looks a fair bit larger but still not huge. Pics can be decieving though.

I have the 3000yd newcon and can range reflective objects to 3800 yards. Big objects like metal barn roofs. Non reflective objects like animals my longest range is 2300 yards. I love the rangefinder the only complaint i have is its big heavy and bulky. It was not to much trouble to cary in my day pack though.

VECTOR 23 -- From the early VECTOR 1000 to the latest VECTOR 23 each successive model roughly doubled the maximum measurable range.VECTOR 23 reaches out to more than 20km.

Bring your money but it is the best on the planet..

vector 23 20 kilometers range finder  were can i see a pic and it sound like someting that cost 30 000 dls.

one big question whos selling newcom range finders ?
