Anyone know if Berger makes the Match VLD in .284 in a 140 or 150 ? I tried looking on the site but for some reason computer acted up. Looking to maybe switch to these from 140 and 160 accubonds.

But they told me they are coming out with a 140 grain VLD before the year is out. :D

3500 fps from a STW or RUM should be flaaaaat.

I'm just guessing. I have a load book showing 140s at 3500 fps out of a 26" barrel. I am getting a 30" in STW or RUM for my birthday. (hopefully)

This load book was before SAAMI put limits on the STW. I was figuring 3500 fps with a 30" barrel, although more may be possible.

I ran some stuff through JBM, assuming the new 140 has a BC of .55 at 3500 and 3600 fps, sighted in at 300.

Thanks for the info i may wait a bit and see. At first i thought these bullets were for punching paper but after looking at the Best of the West boys these look like dang good hunting bullets too. I am having a lightweight 300 win built and my try there 155 and 165 for it.
