How to adjust a BOSS on a Browning? And 300 Win mag loads?

I have made a few posts about my .338 Lapua in the past.

Now I want to tune in my wife's 300 win mag for long range use. It is a stainless A bolt stalker with Boss, and a 4X 14? Varix X III leupold, with a stoney point target turret for elevation adjustments.

My quandry is that it has a BOSS. That seems to add yet another variable to deal with in the reloading.

Any suggestions on fine tuning the BOSS without expending 1000 rounds? And for that matter, any suggested loads for long range 300 win mag?
And what ranges are you making hunting shots with your .300? I would be happy if we can dial it to 600 yards...

Save your hearing!

Save your hearing and take it off and put a real brake on it. I am not a fan of the BOSS system.

Like you said "another variable". If you wnat to keep it I would set in in one location and tune your load without changing it. When you get acceptable groups you could then try and mess with the BOSS and see if it make a difference.

boss adjustments

go to browning web site they have settings for various loads mostly factory.I found that helpful for finding my setting to match my handloads.I shoot a 338 bar boss which has special settings to match the bullet weights i use.
