New Leupold FFP in the works

Skinny,

Thanks for the heads up.......
Finally they are coming around to the FFP desires of a 'few' of us. I'd spend the money for that one but......

It would be perfect if: The reticle and clicks were in the same units. Jeeze, what's could be better than Mil Dot ret. and MOA clicks. I'll tell ya! MOA ret and MOA clicks! That's what. Whatsamatta with those guys, huh?

Also, I didn't see a third turret? What about parallax.

Darn, here I am talking myself out of it already.:(

BTW, the WCs are super.

Nice! The third turret is there Roy, it's just hard to see. ;) I also agree .1 Mil knobs would be really nice with the TMR.

I'd like to know how much more the tactical milling reticle in the FFP would cover a groundhog at 900 yards when set to 20X than a 2nd FP reticle does?

That could be a problem when the FFP reticle enlarges as you zoom up to 20X.

FFP is a market that will be tough for them to crack esp at the pricepoint they are going for---USO is one that comes to mind.

Skinny,
I think a high mag FFP scope main disadvantage is LR @ small targets.
There are ways to work around a heavy reticle though.

Thanks XPhunter.
The TMR looks like a fine duplex though.
If it really is a problem, maybe I should get the 2nd FP reticle version now and not waste time waiting.
Sounds like the FFP is meant for human/deer sized targets, etc and not groundhogs.

That 2nd FP (LEU60080) scope would put me over the $500 that Cabela's needs me to spend with the deal they are running right now. That deal and my club points would help lower the actual outlay of cash.
They'd then give me a $150 cash card for other stuff... :D
