I'm new to this forum, but from what I've been reading, there is a lot of good info here. I'm impressed.

I'm thinking of rebarreling a Ruger #1. There aren't a lot of gunsmiths who do this. Carolina Precision Rifles is one.

Has anyone had good/bad experiences with Carolina Precision Rifles?

I had John do a Ruger #1 for me in .300 ultra mag several years ago....like several other rifles he's built for me I am very pleased with it

Hello,

John Lewis and CPR do great work. He does all my barreling work. Also, he is a real good guy.

i remember he used to be with Kenny Jarret. I just tried a google search and only got driving directions. Was wondering if he had a web site so you could see calibers he chambered for. I have heard good of his work just hope his prices are better than his former boss.

Call John Lewis at Carolina Precision Rifles at 803-827-2069. As I said before, he is a good guy and does good work.

This is a little old thread but I will put in my review.

John does a lot of work for me. Excellent work product. His turnaround time is pretty good. If I have a time sensitive project, I'm honest with him upfront and it hasn't been a problem.

His prices are good too.
