Sportsman Wearhouse

have neither by me, but when i go out west to hunt i always stop by cabela's and sportsman's . i like them in this order the best.
1 sportsman's
2 cabela's
3 bass pro

Kenniwick Wash.

I live an hour from one and while its better than most sporting goods it could be alot better. Their reloading has alot of hunting bullets but they practically have no powder. They have empty powder cans and an 8lb powder list with prices which are good prices. But they never have these powders in stock. So its pointless to drive over there. Some of the hunting/gun help they have working there are quite arrogant, which is a turn off to customers. Your their to serve the customer not show how much of an opinion or how cool you are. They have a good selection of clothes and pretty good fishing section though. I will just order from my local BI-Mart store All Sports catolog which has everything and I dont have to pay shipping and handling or pay for gas to find out whether Sportsmans has it or not.

I frequent the Kennewick store also, and I've had some of Flybusters experiences. Other times, they have been great. Hit and miss on who is there, I think. Like most retail stores, they have a mix of employees, and since they don't do JUST guns, some of them are a little iffy.

They have always had the supplies I'm looking for, but I understand it might be a hit or miss thing, too.

I like the stores in general, but I like Cabelas better overall, they just seem to have more stuff. (Well, maybe I like to look at the fish and big game displays just a little!)

I like it a LOT better than Gander Mountain and not as well as Cabelas. About the only choice in town.

What, mo30284 wrote,
1 Sportsman's Warehouse

Although for me pretty much after Cabela's, I start web surfing Bruno's, Midway and other such sites.

Last ditch efforts,
Bass Pros High $$
Gander Mountain, A.K.A. Blunder Mountain

Pretty much the same here but I'd put Scheels at a tie for 2 and push BP down to 4.

I have close access to Sportsmans warehouse gander mt and Sheels as well as a couple small time shops. I like sheels the best then Sportsmans for it's selection. Gander doesn't have much to choose from. S W is a little more expensive, but I still like to use the stores to look at what I want, then I will price it off of Midwayusa.

I was really upset with Sportsman's "expert" who claims to shoot tens of thousands of round a year. He tried to get me to purchase a bullet casting set and he succeeded in selling me a RCBS neck turner for a RCBS case trimmer. Some expert! This is a piece of $h!! If I ever saw one.

It is nice to have several authoraties in the area to compare opinions though.

I would like to add this tidbit of infoe, I inquired about range finders and the salesman was talking to me as he was reading the specs out of the catolog. It is still a chain store and may not offer the best advice LOL!
