I just want to know my options before I buy my long range rig. If those are the only two I will probably have a custon built 338 edge or Lapua. I just dont like the super tactical look of both of those. I would be happy with something like an HS Prescision tactical stock as I will be using it for hunting and packing it around.

for the price your gonna pay for either of those I would recomend building you a rifle to your specs , you will have exactly what you want as far as looks and it will more than likly shoot better

HS Precision makes a factory Lapua, so does Dakota. GA Precision built mine on a Nesika action, if you don't want to use a Remington. Mike

try Jim Ruiz at Predator Custom. He makes a 338 Paladin. I shot one for an article recently and had no trouble with 1.5 to 2 inch groups at 500 yards with HS Ammo. NF 42X He has a 1000 yard gun. I have the pictures of 4" groups. The guy can build a gun.

There's a discussion two forums up from this one (Long Range Hunting & Shooting) under "Rings + Bases for Model 700 MLR .338 Lapua"...you may be able to get some info from bubbagodkin, the starter of that thread....hope this gets ya started in the direction ya wish to go...JohnnyK.

I used a 338 RUM Sendero to build my 338 Lapua on
