I had spotted a group of hogs on the neighbor's property and set up the call to try to draw them across the fence. I set up under some trees and waited for the call to draw them into the open. Instead, a coyote showed up after about 10 minutes. He promptly busted me and took off...

The hogs stayed with the cattle on the neighbor's property just on the other side of the fence for another 2 hours.

That is a good shot! what do you use to range at night?

I sometimes use a GPS app on my phone and determine the distances to certain landmarks around me and then try not to shoot at anything beyond certain distances. Otherwise, I just verify a given distance after the kill, as I did in this case. That is a question often asked, "How far was the shot?" So I try to include that information in the video along with caliber, bullet, optics, and environmental conditions.
