I went out on Black Friday to shoot a group of five a little over a mile. Went up to the target to measure a 3 shot group my brother shot with my rifle about 3 months ago, this was his second time shooting this rifle 8" 3 shot group at 1780.

Painted target went and ranged 1830 got set up first 2shots are what you see on the target ...1/4 inch elevation at that range is sweet.. My 3 4 5 shot were off target , I'm like what the heck.... I started to pack rifle up to drive up to target and I heard a clicking noise...the base came loose that explained my 3 4 5 shots...so no it's time for some blue loctite.

Will get out again for a 5 and 10 shot groups sometime in january.

Rifle is a custom 338 lapua

McMillan a5
Hart 28" barrell 1/10
Bat model m 40 moa rail
Jewell trigger

Great shooting. So frustrating when something comes loose. It is nice that you noticed it. Usually with me it will shoot good one day then not the next and I just think it is me until it finally gets loose enough to be bad most of the time. Can't tell you how many shots have been wasted due to something getting loose.

Thank you...I can't tell you how many times that has happened to me with other rifles...talk about beating head into wall...

Going to Ben Avery this sat for a local match at 1k hoping for a good 10 shot group

Great shooting, Good call on the base too.
Will look forward to seeing some groups at that distance.

New from this last sat....3 shot 2500 yds verified by gps as the kilo2000 will only range to 2k
