Off the Lands

I have been testing a 1903 A3 and rem 700 so far the 03 likes .040 to .050 off lands. The rem 700 shot 1" groups at .030 to .040 and it shot a 5/8" group at .100 off lands I don't think up clost to the lands is a good ida I have heard to many tails of problems

You can get into trouble if you have a max load with some jump and then seat your bullets out farther so that they are jammed into the lands.

Reading the instructional chapters from almost any current reloading manual from the major manufacturers will almost always steer you towards conservative, safe practices.
