In the Ear? Really???

hogs have really ****ed me off. i got rained out for 3 nights in a row and this is what they did

imagejpeg_zpscbz5hd4s.jpg

if you look closely, you can see they went down every row and dug up peanuts as far as you can see

i decided to get out early, before the rain one evening, set up and wait out the rain. it never stopped. after a few hours of that i fishtailed my way out of the circle. i did manage to get one hog a while back, but i've been in a slump and can't seem to shake it.

pak, my secret bait is... peanut stuff

djones,
Since you were in the irrigation circle, are you sure you weren't just sitting under a Sprinkler?.......Can you see far enough to tell?....Have you tried looking up?......

Gee thanks, Peanut stuff tells me a bunch! .........Sure glad I can count on you to clarify stuff like that for me.......

Good size hog though....and almost in the ear...........Must have been shot a while ago, the ground is only damp in that picture whereas the other pictures show that it is on the verge of "Up to the Axles".

As far as being in a slump, first off you don't have to tell me that!....secondly, have you tried holding your shoulders back more or loosening your suspenders up a bit?

BTW, where does the card shuffler fit on that Rifle?...Got everything else on it!

Has anyone else noticed that when I mention throwing some of his more outrageous stuff out on Youtube, he (djones) suddenly has time and pictures to post?.....surely just a coincidence!......LOL

Can't believe that I've got to tell you how to get them. Walk out into a Peanut field early, sit down, act like peanut stuff (should be fairly easy for you) and wait for them to show up.....Might suggest you get you a set of those chainsaw pants though,,,,could get a little up close and personal! Oh, yeah, better take a roll of toilet paper too!.......:)

No need to thank me, just trying to help!

Can't wait to get you down in the hill country with visibility about 25' and see how much that technology helps when you're shooting so close you have to be careful you don't blow your own foot off! Been so long since you've shot with iron sights that you probably forgot how! In fact with all the crap you've got on that rifle, I don't know why it needs you except to keep it ambulatory!

Time for a little historical Break.

"Molon Labe" (Greek) King Leonidas of the Spartans (460 BC) when confronted with a Persian General who yelled at the Spartans "Lay down your weapons"

To which Leonidas replied, "Molon Labe", which translated means "If you are good enough, come and get them".

"Molon Labe" has become the by word for supporters of the 2nd amendment.

"If you're good enough, come and get them!" Gee i wonder who that's directed at?

Hope I didn't go too intellectual on you all.

The Battle of Thermopylae is a fascinating example of tactics, knowledge of the terrain, and determination against a much larger adversary. I enjoy both of the 300 movies (especially Eva Green) and the lessons one can learn from watching them.

It is somewhat ironic that we are still using the same phrase 2,000 + years later. Seems like we have not progressed much in some aspects from Leonidas' time period.

Well, djones you just never know, they come and view if it is too intellectual and then again they come and view if it isn't. Really a tough crowd to play to! Besides in those blank spells you have where you don't post any pictures, got to put something on the board to keep them coming back so might as well edumacate them a little.

WHAT, a picture of dead hogs and no djones in the background? Must have been shot by someone else and he was too embarrassed to ask if he could be in the picture too! OH, and a yote too!.....Well it's a start.......

I knew if I told you how to do it, you'd get some hogs.....ROFL.

Update on my cousin's new .308 LaRue rifle.....He picked it up and my Brother is leaving Houston early part of next week to go up to KC to break it in with him and zero it.

Got it figured that within a month or two, I'll have me a new Rifle, but it may take a trip to the Ranch to finally wear him out on it!.....LOL

...Packrat, no need for him to drive all the way up to KC to break that bad boy in as he can leave it with me! Hope Ya end up with it.
Still haven't seen any hogs down here in the Pecan orchard at Mom's so looks like I am going to have to take the M&P10 with me next weekend when I head up to northern East Texas to help my friend out on a job. Thought I had posted up some of the pics I took last time I was up there (rifle less) but guess I didn't.

Talked to the two old ladies that own the place last night and she said once again "Get rid of ALL the critters!"
