One of the LRH Sponsors (un-named by my choice). And all of the components that are available from Sponsors are obtained from Sponsors.

I've got some brass ready for a powder charge and bullet seating. I'm using all the same components you mentioned. Do you mind sharing the powder charge you used to get 2990 fps? Also, what is the barrel contour and length and weight of the rifle? Thanks.

Gordon
Gordon,
2990 was a guestimate, perhaps an optimistic one. I never chronoed the load. I believe the barrel a 27" #5. If you care to PM me, I'll discuss load specifics.

Would you mind sharing some shooting locations in the area? The spot you tested that looked amazing. I am in Davis County.
Frankly, I shoot everywhere. Anywhere there's enough room, especially areas I actually hunt. I rarely shoot at established ranges. Sorry, I'm not familiar with Davis county. There is a great long range facility in Price.

I've found the 7WSM superbly accurate. I can't give you a proven #. I'd expect double your numbers at the very least!

Lorenzo, I enjoyed your article. While i have never shot at a 1000 yard range I have had the pleasure of slinning lead down range at 600 yards multiple times, what a good feeling to know you are on target at that kind of distance. Thanks for the good work.

Re: Long Range Rifles, LLC - 7WSM Rifle Review

I shoot a 7 wsm. 26" Brux bbl 9"twist. 65.5grs of Re#22 Mag primer 162gr A-max produced 3150. I live in West Reno and have some great places to shoot all the way out to 1000 yds. Problem is ya gotta go early in the morning to shoot. Afternoons in NV desert is notorious for switch back winds. On calm days I can easily hit water filled 2 liter soda pop containers and some times 16 oz Rock Star cans. However even with .600+BC bullets 10-15mph winds can wage havoc on trajectory .Got to have a spotter.
