Plunger? are you talking about the ejector? If so, the old one will get re-installed.

If you are talking about the hole for the extractor rivet, I would really doubt anyone does anything with it.

    The open hole yes. So leaving it there doesn't weaken the action and is of no consequence. Smiths then typically don't fill it in?

    The hole where the rivet went through isn't necessarily filled in. With the sleeve that I silver solder in it covers that hole and solder fills most of it in. The hole left open or filled wouldn't weaken it either way.

    I've heard some people do dual Sako Extractors? Is that true, and or is that over kill?

    Do you work on Mauser actions?

    No price difference if going bigger, smaller or staying the same size.
