Barbary sheep in new mexico

Does anyone have any info on places to hunt Barbary sheep in New Mexico? I did not draw on any of the ideal hunts so im gonna get an over the counter tag and give it the ol college try for the fun of it. I am thinking of hitting unit 38 near Roswell. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Barbary sheep in new mexico

I think it was unit 27 that i hunted for mule deer and there was a crap load in there but thats been a long time 9-10 years ago but being they made it a mule deer draw unit the number of hunters in there should be really low now. Ill look and let u know for sure

Much appreciated man, thanks alot. There are a lot of areas open for hunting these sheep but I am guessing finding them is very thin unless you know a secret hole they hang out in.
